Declaration for May: Hello Joy!!!
For the last month I have been encouraging myself with this phrase, "April's shower brings May flowers." As elementary as it sounds, it has been providing me hope through some tumultuous times. Last month I felt like I was on my last breath mental, spiritually, and emotionally. The level of exhaustion was something I have never experienced, and I cried at least once a day to keep my sanity. Towards the end of the month, a friend by the name of Joy could be seen in the distance. This morning she made her arrival, and she brought Psalm 30 with her. It says:
1 I will exalt you, Lord, for you rescued me.
You refused to let my enemies triumph over me.
2 O Lord my God, I cried to you for help,
and you restored my health.
3 You brought me up from the grave,O Lord.
You kept me from falling into the pit of death.
4 Sing to the Lord, all you godly ones!
Praise his holy name.
5 For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime!
Weeping may last through the night,
but joy comes with the morning.
6 When I was prosperous, I said,
“Nothing can stop me now!”
7 Your favor, O Lord, made me as secure as a mountain.
Then you turned away from me, and I was shattered.
8 I cried out to you, O Lord.
I begged the Lord for mercy, saying,
9 “What will you gain if I die,
if I sink into the grave?
Can my dust praise you?
Can it tell of your faithfulness?
10 Hear me, Lord, and have mercy on me.
Help me, O Lord.”
11 You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing.
You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,
12 that I might sing praises to you and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!
This is what the Holy Spirit gave me concerning May: This month will consist of Divine Turnaround! The thing that brought you great pain will become a point of praise for you. The things that caused your heart to mourn will not compare to the Joy that God brings this season. This month will consist of new tears filled with joy. You have been well acquainted with sorrow, but you are about to know Joy in a way that you have never known her. Your garments have been changed, and there is no need for grave clothes. You shall live and declare the works of the Lord. Your perseverance will be rewarded. Your confession of faith shall be manifested. You will be divinely compensated for your commit to righteousness. Both clarity and wisdom will guide you in this season. A peace of mind is part of your inheritance, do not let anything rob you of it. Grace has come to enable you to complete every kingdom assignment for this season. You endured the shifting, and now you are moving in the direction I want you to go. Do not be afraid to enjoy this new season. Do not allow fear to hold your thoughts captive. Sorrow is no longer your companion. Joy has come. Embrace her!
