A Season of Recompense
This word was given to me on July 24, 2018 but I felt it was necessary to share it with those who have an ear to hear it:
"Excuses might be found for a thief who steals because he is starving. 31 But if he is caught, he must pay back seven times, even if he has to sell everything in his house."-Proverbs 6:30, 31 NLT
I woke up this morning, and the first thing I saw on Instagram was a testimony of an ORU Alumni purchasing a home for his family. He told the story of having to wait 10 years to provide the home of his dreams to his family. As I went to comment under the post, the words "Season of Recompense" came to mind and Proverbs 6:30,31 followed. Since I do not like taking scripture out of context, I was a little thrown off by the scripture reference because Proverbs is speaking of a natural thief not a spiritual one. The Holy spirit reminded me of the Ancient thief in John 10:10 that comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Proverbs 6:30,31 can apply to him, and what he must return to those who have become aware of their identity in Christ. He has been found, and he must repay!
I took the time to look up the word "recompense." It means "compensation or reward given for loss or harm suffered or effort made." Before we can experience restoration, a recompense must take place. In this season the enemy of your soul will have to compensate us, and God will be rewarding those of us who endured the pruning process. Compensation and rewards are coming in these three areas of your life:
- Where there has been great loss. This is specifically in our relationship, businesses, and identity. Your broken heart will be healed. Your business venture will not fail this time. You lost yourself as you started to lose things. God is giving you a new identity not based on what you possess but built on who are in Christ.
- Harm suffered. This is for those of us who were caught up in the crossfire of Generational curses and dysfunction. We were born into a family plagued by poverty, perversion, promiscuity, alcoholism, pride, etc. As a result we picked up some habits, ideologies, doctrines, etc. that have brought harm to our lives. Through Christ we have been adopted into a new family (Romans 8:15-18). We have been rewarded a royal and righteous bloodline now. The things that the enemy used to keep us imprisoned can no longer work. The curse has been broken, and we can live free of it. This is also in the area of relationships were your motives were pure; but you were taken advantage of by people. You were betrayed. You were bamboozled or conned. As a result of that experience, the enemy robbed you of your kindness, compassion, mercy, empathy, and loving heart. Starting today, the thief of your soul will have to return those things back to you. God is going to reward you with a revelation of His love that will dispel the darkness that situation produced in your heart. Your heart will be Christ's habitation, and the love your heart once knew will be deeply rooted again (Ephesians 3:17-19).
- Efforts made. God is getting ready to reward you for the effort you have made, and the enemy will have to compensate you for every place and point of demonic interference via frustration, confusion, anxiety, depression, exhaustion, and sabotage. Clarity is coming. You will possess the ability to execute your Kingdom assignment without demonic interference. This is the season that you discover "all things work together for your good." Strategy, divine connections, kingdom alliances, and wealth transfers will happen for those who have endured disappointment but kept working on what they believed God has called them to do. This is not the wealth of the wicked being laid up for the just kind of wealth transfer. It is the wealth of the storehouse of Heaven being transferred to those on earth who are dedicated to fulfilling their Kingdom assignment. This is the season that funds are coming and grants are being released so that the Kingdom of God can be advanced on the earth.
To those who have endured and suffered a little while you are getting ready to reign as sons of God should on earth. This is your Season of Recompense and restoration will follow it. Everything that was lost. stolen, and caused you harm served a purpose. You are about to experience the goodness of God at the level you've been expecting. Your storehouse will be full in this season, and you will enjoy the fruit of this new land and that of your labor. Stay in fellowship with the Father, and do not stray away from his statutes, decrees, and commandments. Life is about to be good for those who trusted him during the pain of the pruning.
